Cathedral Coffee

Today I visited Cathedral Coffee on N Willamette and Edgewater for their cinnamon roll! I found out that Cathedral had a cinnamon roll and made plans to get out there soon after they opened this morning to make sure I could get one before they sold out. They open at 7am and I was there at 7:30- and got the last one! I saw three others in the café eating cinnamon rolls and thought- these must be amazing!! They were super nice and were already bumpin’ dance music in there. The energy was right for a cinnamon roll! This one has a cream cheese frosting that’s pretty darn good, not too sweet, but pretty fatty and kind of intense. I loved to see all that dark cinnamonny goo on the inside, it had a great flavor! Unfortunately the bread was pretty dry and felt like it was made the day before, the only drawback to a totally solid cinnamon roll. I warmed it up a little in the oven when I got home and it transformed the center of the roll into a goo-fest, definitely recommend that!

Favorite part: Great cinnamon streusel between the layer

Least favorite part: Bread was dry and tasted a little old.
