Mehri’s Bakery & Café

Today I visited Mehri’s Bakery & Café on SE 52nd and Bybee for their cinnamon roll! This is a cute little breakfast joint with a bunch of pastries and cakes in case in front, and I picked up this monster cinnamon roll, the first I’ve had with walnuts! They told me that they use their cinnamon rolls to make their french toast, and that makes sense, as I cut in to this big boy, it’s like a whole loaf of bread! The frosting is zippy and seems to have a hint of orange (that’s not too strong). It’s very good, the brioche is tasty, I love the nuts.. but this is basically a big brioche with a little icing and cinnamon. Very very bready, I’m going to have to try this french toast!!

Favorite part: The frosting, with a hint of orange, and the walnuts!

Least favorite part: Maybe a bit too bready
