Market of Choice

Today I visited Market of Choice on SE 11th and Belmont for their cinnamon roll! I’ve looked into most of the grocery stores and not many of them have a full bakery where they’re making their own pastries (Zupan’s, Whole Foods and New Seasons all get their cinnamon rolls from local wholesalers), but Market of Choice sure does! I’ve had MoC’s scones before (and they’re hella good), so I was excited for these rolls. I had to buy a 4-pack, but I’m sure I could have ordered a single if I showed up a little earlier in the day. These have cream cheese frosting that is laid on THICK, but it’s actually quite good and not too sweet! The bread is OK, a little dense and dry, but when I warmed these up at home they tasted much better. The best thing was that these were filled with cinnamon goo. That goes a long way with me, and the cinnamon flavor mixed with the frosting was delish! I was surprised how much I liked these, and will totally buy them again. They’re not the best in town by any means, but the best grocery store rolls I’ve had by far! (Which…that’s actually not saying a lot, as the other one was Fred Meyer and it was SIIIICK hahaha).

Favorite part: Tons of cinnamon goo on the inside!

Least favorite part: Bread was a bit dry and hard…
