Gluten Free Gem

Today I visited Gluten Free Gem on NE 2nd and Broadway. I didn’t even recognize this little square cutie as a cinnamon roll at first, but I’m glad I asked (even though the employee rolled their eyes at me, lol!) Once I got home, my wife and I dug in, and I have transcribed her response after her first bite here: “Oh wow, It’s like carrot cake, but- cinnamon roll, and dry… but delicious!” This little square not only looks like a slice of cake, but tastes like it, even though I believe it was rolled up. The bread was good, but quite dry, and definitely the weakest link here, but the spiciness and the frosting were absolutely top-notch. This bakery knows what they’re doing! Although, it’s hard to really classify this little cake as a true cinnamon roll- it was very tasty. I wouldn’t necessarily seek this out myself, but would absolutely recommend.

Favorite part: The frosting was excellent! So tasty, not too sweet!

Least favorite part: The bread was a bit too dry, even for gluten-free
