Buffalo Gap

Today I visited Buffalo Gap on SW California St and Macadam for their cinnamon roll! I’ve almost been dreading this one after seeing a photo of this beast on their website, but today seemed like the right day and I headed to the bar after work. You can order this roll “hot or cold” and I took it cold to warm up at home, and once it was out of the oven- it glistened all over from a buttery fat glaze. I dug in and unfortunately found that there was almost zero cinnamon in this roll- just all bread through and through. I actually had a hard time finding the swirl- it had all just baked together into a mass brioche. However, the brioche was quite tasty, but that’s about all it had going for it. This is a tasty bread roll with fat melted on top and almost no trace of cinnamon. I did discover a little cinnamon pocket near the center, which was tasty, but nowhere near enough and I couldn’t finish the whole thing…

Favorite part: The brioche was pretty good!

Least favorite part: Almost no cinnamon in this cinnamon roll.
