Great Harvest Baking Co.

Today I visited Great Harvest on SW 2nd and Yamhill for their cinnamon roll! I ran downtown to this location, spittin’ distance from the Yamhill Pub, and the cinnamon rolls in the case were huge! These are made with wheat and barley flour so they are more hearty than your normal roll. I dug in and found that they were actually quite tasty! The wheat flour makes these taste and feel a bit dry and bready, but there’s tons of cinnamon and the frosting mixes in and these rolls are surprisingly gooey! The frosting is a bit too sweet, but the hearty bread balances it out, and I was delighted by how much I liked these. I prefer more of a lighter brioche, and don’t think I would necessarily seek these out, but if you ever find yourself coming out of the Yamhill Pub early in the morning, I would absolutely recommend this one.

Favorite part: Plenty on cinnamonny gooeyness in the center

Least favorite part: After a while I felt pretty full from the breadiness…
