Fred Meyer Bakery

Today I visited Fred Meyer on NE Broadway and 28th for their cinnamon roll! Well, actually just for groceries, but I noticed these cinnamon rolls in that bakery case with the donuts and thought, '“I guess I have to….” I spoke to a bakery employee and she assured me that these are made on-site (and not shipped in from some Kroger factory), so I think this counts as a Portland cinnamon roll! These actually look pretty good, but taste absolutely gross! The main problem is the bread- it’s SO dry, like drier than dry, and I was wondering if these were actually made a few years ago and just recently topped with fresh frosting? It was difficult to taste anything else because my mouth was so dry from the bread.

Favorite part: Umm…. these smelled like cinnamon rolls

Least favorite part: The super sick bread.
