St. Beatrix

Today I visited St. Beatrix on NE MLK and Failing for their cinnamon roll! This spot is incredibly cute and the person who helped me at the bakery was SUPER nice, so I was already falling in love with this place before placing my order. Their cinnamon roll seemed to be covered in cinnamon sugar, as well as frosting, so I was a little worried that this one would be too sweet! I ordered two for my wife and I, and once my wife took a bite she literally yelled, “WOW!! This is it. This is the best one I’ve had so far!!” It wasn’t too sweet- the “sugar” on the outside was actually a ton of spices; cinnamon, bergamot, something spicier? maybe paprika or something with a little kick? The bread is more rustic and the mixture of the spices with this bread is freakin’ incredible! The frosting is not-too-sweet and, once you reach the center of the roll, you still get that ooey-gooey-greatness. This is certainly not your traditional cinnamon roll, but I cannot wait to go back and get this one again!

Favorite part: The bread with those spices! Damn

Least favorite part: I wish it was about three times bigger so I could have kept eating it!
