Gabriel’s Bakery
Today I visited Gabriel’s Bakery at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market for their cinnamon roll! It was below freezing outside when I arrived but the market was hoppin’! Luckily the line wasn’t too long and I when I reached the counter I saw just how BIG this roll is! I tore into it back at home, and found this to be a very bread-y cinnamon roll. All of the flavors were solid, and the brioche was a bit dense but tasty, but the cinnamon flavor was very much in the background. Mostly it tasted like a large bagel with frosting and slight cinnamon flavor. I would say I liked it, but I didn’t love it. There wasn’t any gooey craziness, and the center of the roll tasted like any other part of the roll. I believe Gabriel’s mostly makes bagels and bread loaves- which makes sense.
Favorite part: The bread was pretty tasty!
Least favorite part: Not enough cinnamon, and the frosting was too sweet.
