Kinnamons Bakery

Today I visited Kinnamons in the Pearl on NW 13th and Johnson for their cinnamon roll! This spot was empty when I strolled on Sunday evening, and the sweet cinnamon smell lured me from the street.  The rolls are baked in these little springform pans so they have a tight, cute look and they poured warm cream cheese frosting all over it. I was drooling as I ran back to my car with the box. Kinnamons is the latest spot from the guy behind Blue Star Donuts, Little Big Burger, Boxer Ramen, etc etc- and I secretly wanted to dislike this one, but goddaaamn this is a killer cinnamon roll. It’s got all the things I like; cream cheese based frosting is delicious and not too sweet, the bread is really good with caramelized outside and ooey-gooey cinnamon sweetness inside and across the bottom.. I haven’t tried any of their rolls with toppings or flavored frostings, but their classic is, I have to admit, pretty great!

Favorite part: The frosting and the gooey cinnamon yummy guhhh bblbrlbrlblblrbrb

Least favorite part: The bread was tasty but not as good as other smaller bakeries in town
