Petunia's Pies & Pastries

Today I visited Petunia’s on SW 12th and Alder for their cinnamon roll! Petunia’s is a gluten-free and vegan bakery, and I’ve always liked their cakes. This was an odd looking little cinnamon roll, but looking at it from the bottom, it is indeed a roll, lol! haha Roll-lol. Well, this “roll” actually looked and tasted almost exactly like an apple fritter (without the apple). After a few bites of this very sweet donut-like thing, I had to stop. I do love apple fritters, but often feel a little sick about 1/2 way through from the overly sweet fried donut flavor. This was certainly the moistest gluten-free bread I’ve had so far, and the cinnamon flavor was very present, but this is more of a hyper-sugary dessert than your normal cinnamon roll pastry.

Favorite part: Cinnamon flavor was quite good.

Least favorite part: Stomach-ache sweet.
